Every day, on and off-road diesel engines create air pollutants that can adversely affect human health. CARB requires engine manufacturers to meet strict pollution standards for newer engines. However, fleet owners may need to install a verified diesel emission control strategy to clean up emissions from older, dirtier diesel engines. A diesel emission control strategy is a technology that, if maintained properly, reduces harmful air pollution from diesel engine exhaust before it is emitted into the air. The most common technology used is a diesel particulate filter (DPF), also known as a soot filter or DECS, which substitutes for the original factory muffler. CARB evaluates and approves DPFs to meet specific particulate matter or nitrogen oxide emission reductions.
What is a verified diesel emission control strategy (DECS)? A DECS is a technology that reduces harmful air pollution from diesel engine exhaust before it is emitted into the air. A DECS is a diesel particulate filter (DPF) or particulate matter (PM) filter that substitutes for the original muffler. CARB evaluates and approves (verify) DECS to meet specific particulate matter (PM) or nitrogen oxide (NOx) emission reductions.
2023 has arrived and so have CARB new rules and mandates for diesel equipment and vehilces.learn more
CARB has sensors on California freeways that can detect the level of soot or particulates a diesel vehicle is emitting. High emitters are sent notices to repair or risk severe penalties.learn more
DPFTRAC can track a DPF filter if cleaned anywhere within the United States and Canada when identifying information like DPF serial number provided during cleaning with the DPFTRAC app.learn more
DPFTRAC can predict which replacement part is needed during a DPF cleaning: clamps, gaskets, and even the DPF itself. No more guessing. Auto fast database searches done in seconds.learn more
FOUR REASONS TO USE DPFTRAC AS YOUR DPF CLEANING AND DPF PARTS PROCUREMENT PORTAL
Diesel Particulate Filter Tracking System (DPFTRAC) is the world's first diesel particulate filter (DPF) tracking and cleaning system built for use with FSX and other DPF cleaning equipment. DPFTRAC is created by RAVHD a Southern California company born in Wilmington California which is in the heart of the Port of Los Angeles and Long Beach. DPFTRAC's software is interactive and has easy instructions that uniformly guide DPF cleaning technicians through the DPF cleaning process of removing dangerous diesel particulates and pollutants from heavy-duty filters before they escape into the environment. DPFTRAC is trusted by environmentally-focused industry leaders like PACCAR, PACLease, Kenworth, Toronto's Metrolinx, State of Delaware (DART) and many other transportation leaders.
